16~03~05 - Thundercats vehicles

Thundercats vehicles
The toy manufacturer LJN created a range of Thundercats vehicles in 1987 to go with the large selection of 5” figures it produced as a result of the show’s enormous popularity.

The original vehicle collection comprised of five good ones, and four evil ones, the most popular of all of these of course being the Thundertank. Of all of these vehicles, six of them in fact appeared in the show, the rest being created by LJN.

Unfortunately, the toy line was cancelled early, meaning that a number of prototypes that LJN had been working on were never actually produced, although they were so close to production that pictures of them actually appeared in the promotional catalogues put inside the existing toys. Feliner, Luna Tacker and Thunderstrike are three examples of the vehicles that failed to reach production.
